Investigate and compare Mobility results
Use Pulse, Diagnose, and Compare & Act together to move from a site overview to a justified action.
Pulse, Diagnose, and Compare & Act answer different questions about the same WiFi evidence. Start with the location and period, check how much was measured, and then use the view that matches the decision. A weakly sampled area should lead to another collection run before a network change; a finding seen in several well-sampled areas merits deeper technical investigation.
| View | Question | Evidence to check before acting |
|---|---|---|
| Pulse | What is the condition of this location and where are the gaps? | Counted readings, measured and sparse areas, selected period |
| Diagnose | What technical or collection pattern could explain the finding? | Agent health, map, access point evidence, time pattern |
| Compare & Act | Which location needs attention first? | Comparable periods and completeness across sites |
Mobility Pulse
Pulse is the location view for a selected period. Its signal coverage figure describes readings in areas with enough evidence. The completeness line states how many areas were measured, too sparse, or never measured.
Read Pulse in order
- Select the location and period. Check when the data was updated.
- Read the large signal figure together with How complete is this? and Readings this period. A high figure over few areas is a narrow result.
- Review What needs you for findings among areas that could be classified.
- In Where is it happening?, move from the grounds to a building and floor. Select an area for its own figure; hatched or gray spaces indicate insufficient evidence.
- Read the reachability section separately. Good signal does not prove that websites or the internet service worked.
The fictional MareaClara Lobby map has three measured areas and a meeting-room area with too few readings. The map tells you where evidence exists; it does not fill the gap automatically.
Sample business context
PMS and review cards marked Sample are illustrations. They must not be presented as measured occupancy or guest feedback from the installation. See Optional modules for the planned integrations.
Mobility Diagnose
Diagnose brings together the selected period’s technical findings and the health of the collection that supports them. Choose a location and period that cover the event being investigated.
Follow the evidence
- Read Diagnosis and note how many areas could be classified. An area without enough readings is not a clean bill of health.
- Review Agent and data-collection health for reporting agents, offline or stale devices, permission errors, and expected samples. Weak collection can change which areas are judged.
- Use the Technical map to locate the affected space. Confirm the building, floor, and selected area before comparing signal or access points.
- Review Coverage or capacity? and the access point section as supporting evidence. Measured signal, inferred capacity, and access point observations answer different questions.
- Check When it happens for a time pattern. Compare it with the device collection schedule and known site activity.
Some optional add-on controls in the current view are illustrative. Do not treat a checked control as proof that a PMS or network controller has supplied real data.
Verify a diagnosis
Identify the measured symptom, the areas and periods it affects, and any gaps in the evidence. Propose a network change only after confirming the finding with the site or network team.
Mobility Compare & Act
Compare & Act is the estate view. It ranks accessible locations and places them on a map for the selected period. Use it to decide which site deserves a closer investigation, then open that site’s detailed evidence.
Compare locations
- Select the period and check its meaning for each location. Local calendar days may cover different clock intervals across time zones.
- Filter by country or region if the comparison should include only a specific group of properties.
- Review the estate cards and map. A location marked To verify or without enough data needs collection checks before it can be ranked as healthy or unhealthy.
- Read Where to act with the data completeness and contributing locations in view.
- Open the location in Pulse or Diagnose before deciding on a technical intervention.
The current review-rating and return-on-investment panels are marked Sample. Do not quote them as measured guest feedback or as a financial forecast. The Reviews module is being developed to supply real structured feedback.
Verify the comparison
Record the selected group, period, number of locations, and which sites had enough evidence. A single weakly sampled site should not be interpreted as an estate-wide trend.
