Mobility report and indicators
Choose Report, Pulse, Diagnose, or Compare & Act for the WiFi question at hand.
Mobility’s Analyze area offers four complementary views. They share the underlying WiFi evidence but answer different questions.
| View | Start here when you need to | Read next |
|---|---|---|
| Report | Inspect a site’s filtered measurements and report sections | Report |
| Pulse | Understand the selected location and period, including spatial coverage | Pulse |
| Diagnose | Investigate technical findings and collection health | Diagnose |
| Compare & Act | Compare the accessible locations and decide where to investigate first | Compare & Act |
Check the location and analysis period before moving between views. A hotel-level result may be based on only some areas. A comparison across hotels can combine locations with different data completeness, so review the underlying evidence before prioritizing work.
Some business-context panels in the current interface are marked Sample. They illustrate planned optional modules and are not evidence that PMS or review data was integrated.
Mobility Report
The Report view lets you focus on a location and narrow observations by tag, agent, network, time range, and metric. Start with the question you need to answer; then apply filters that preserve the relevant evidence.
Read a report
- Choose the location and time range.
- Review Total samples. A zero count means the selected filters have no observations; it is not a positive or negative WiFi verdict.
- Select a metric such as score, signal, bandwidth, or DNS latency. Read the unit and meaning before comparing values.
- Narrow by agent or network if the question concerns a particular device or service. Recheck the sample count after each filter.
- Compare the map and charts with the field route and any known incident period.
The report may offer an AI summary. Treat it as a summary of the current filtered evidence and verify consequential claims against the charts and underlying measurements.
Verify a finding
Record the location, period, filters, sample count, and metric used. If the result is sparse or surprising, use Pulse for spatial completeness and Diagnose for collection and technical context.
Interpret Mobility indicators
Mobility indicators summarize device observations for a selected location and period. Their scope is defined by the devices, programs, spaces, and times that contributed data.
| Indicator | What it describes | Check alongside it |
|---|---|---|
| Signal coverage | Share of eligible readings with sufficient WiFi signal | Number of measured areas and readings |
| Area completeness | Which areas can be judged, are too sparse, or were never measured | Field route and device positioning |
| Reachability | Whether specific service probes worked during observations | Signal and the exact test performed |
| Agent health | Whether devices reported and delivered expected samples | Program execution and permission status |
| Access point evidence | Radios heard or represented in the site context | Band, location, and number of contributing readings |
A 100% signal figure over a small measured subset does not describe the whole property. The MareaClara Pulse map deliberately shows a meeting-room area with too few readings beside measured areas.
Compare with care
Match the period, location, metric, and measurement availability. Signal, throughput, latency, occupancy, and review ratings have different sources and units. A change in where devices collected data can change an aggregate without a corresponding change in the network.
