Optional modules
Understand how occupancy and reviews add business context to Mobility and their development status.
Optional modules add business context to Mobility. They use different evidence from device measurements: hotel occupancy comes from property-management data, and reviews summarize guest feedback.
The occupancy and reviews modules described here are in development. These pages explain their intended scope so you can plan the data and responsibilities. They are not installation or activation instructions, and do not establish availability in your environment.
Choose a module
| Module | Intended input | Question it helps investigate |
|---|---|---|
| Occupancy — PMS | Daily hotel occupancy aggregates, including actual and forecast figures | Do observed WiFi conditions differ when the hotel is fuller? |
| Reviews | Structured ratings and WiFi feedback indicators | How does reported guest experience relate to measured WiFi conditions? |
Neither module is required to understand the Lens collection model. In the documentation, both extend the Mobility solution rather than introducing a second set of platform administration procedures.
Integration responsibilities
Plan who supplies the data, how each source property maps to a Lens location, and who checks its freshness and completeness. An enabled module, an integration that can deliver data, and data available for the selected period are separate conditions.
Do not assume that a reference to PMS or reviews implies a ready-made connector for every provider. The planned model receives data from integrations; provider selection and the mapping to locations must be established for the installation.
Interpretation boundaries
A missing occupancy value is not an empty hotel. A missing review score is not a poor rating. Preserve that distinction when discussing results with stakeholders.
Use business context alongside WiFi evidence. Neither occupancy nor guest feedback proves the technical cause of a problem or measures the financial return of a proposed intervention.
