Understand guide
Explore an existing analysis from the system summary to regions and dependencies, then interpret its effort and confidence indicators.
Use Understand to investigate what an existing system does and how its parts connect. Begin with a project that already has an analysis available.
Start from the estate type
For a data estate, begin with the report, dataset, or warehouse output and follow its transformations and sources. For an application estate, begin with the program, service, or operation and follow its calls, branches, and record or document contracts. The system profile and labels guide that reading.
The worked Landscape procedure uses a data-estate example. Use the COBOL and webMethods guides for the application-oriented review questions and preparation.
Reading order
Briefing explains each L0 summary widget. Landscape explains the distribution tiles, four lenses, and selected-region panels. Detail explains the asset index, metrics, dossier, and source panel; the Spotlight reference covers every asset-specific visualization.
